I'm hosting a web server behind a router. I registered a domain name with no-ip and that's working: the dns query is sent with the right ip in response. I connected and tried getting the html from another computer that's also behind the router. And confirmed that the GET request came to the server machine and the HTTP OK was sent with the html. But nothing is received by the machine requesting it. Is there anything I could try besides bringing my webserver to the other machines for furthur testing. What is the router blocking? Outgoing traffic from port 80? If so, I can fix that by re-registering with a web redirect url, or can I? Thanks for any ideas. edit: extra info: Connecting from my machine with Firefox. (ie using the web address) I get asked to dl a "application/octet" stream, and sure enough it's partly my HTTP OK response. But when specifying [address]/index.html, the whole response is sent as text and painted on the window with the proper html on my content. And, although I can see the requests for the page from other computers, I can't see teh GET request comming from my broswer on the same machine as the web server... is it not even sent out on the network and not captured by ethereal?
