In vc .net 2002 i'm trying to create a .dll that i can import into another project, however it is not creating the .lib file. how do i fix this? I have it set up to build as a .dll and it compiles, fine. None of the files have the .lib extension however.

You need to specify which functions the dll is going to export. If no exports are declared, the linker won't create a lib file.

You can export functions by either using a .def file, or by using the __declspec keyword. Check the vc help files for specifics of using them.
