Happy Birthday! I brought you a cake..

With all the birthday threads lately, I started thinking. Given a birthday, what's the expected number N of GDNetters that have the same birthday, not counting leap years and assuming birthdays are uniformly distributed? This is a simple calculation: With about 72,000 users (see main forums page), N = 72,000/365 = ~197 people.

Conclusion 1: You're not special or unique, no matter what your mother tells you.

Conclusion 2: Just kidding. Happy birthday. =)

Birthday distribution isn't uniform.
People do... stuff... to heat up in winter. That's why at late summer/early fall there's baby boom.

Even if everyone would post a "I HVEA A BIRFDDAI TODIE OMG OMG WORSHIP ME!!" thread each time it is his birthday, we wouldn't have more then 1 birthday thread per day (on everage).
