Hello everybody, I was wondering if you guys think that I should write some Tile Engine/Map tutorials. I already have some experience in writing them (although major replies were positive, hmm..), so what do you think?? If you do, please tell me the layout you want them to be presented in, and maybe some minor details you want to add to it. Thanks alot.

Well, what would your tutorial contribute to the readers what the other tutorials didn't? I think that is the main question to think about..

I was thinking about constructing (already did) an general OOP tile engine with capability of loading config from XML file and the map from greyscale RAW image file (thus having 255 different tiles in total). As well as presenting a variety of different code (Doubly linked list, generic managers, log, TinyXML use etc).

Ya, I am looking forward to setting up a 3d tile engine for a project, so if you can make a tutorial, that would be great. Not sure what you mean by layout, but try to make it watered down, and have more explanations than code. I am looking for the knowledge rather than cut and paste code.

Well, I was going to water it up, but not much. Since my audience is the intermediate level coders, I will be mixing 1/2 code & 1/2 explanation.
The tutorial will include the general outline of creating an advanced tile engine & the classes you require for it.

It will probably be done by end of next week.
