Agree. - Silver is quite inexpensive but can be very beutiful, buy her something simple but stylish, preferably earrings with a MATCHING necklace ... Thats what I'm getting my girl anyway.
The keyword seperating a good gift from a great one is Matching and to choose the gift for some reason - like matching the necklace with her favourite clothes (tell her) - shows that you have put some thought into it ...
