Linux Game Programming?

Maybe I was to vague on the question....What I meant was the include files for Allegro won't work. When I copy them over from the Windows side to Linux it says that It has problem with almost every function that Allegro has to offer and it will also return an error saying "Cannot create executable files!"
How would I install Allegro so that it will compile correctly?
How would I install Allegro so that it will compile correctly?
1) First make sure that Allegro is installed. This is distribution specific. If you have Mandrake/RedHat/Fedora/SuSE, find the RPM and install it. If you have Debian, do [$apt-get update], [$apt-get install allegro] (or use a package manager). If you have Gentoo, type [$emerge allegro], etc. Or you could always be hard core and download the Allegro source and compile it yourself. [smile]
2) Then make sure that the header files are on a standard include path, otherwise even if the hearder files are there the compiler has no way of knowing that (/usr/include I believe is one). If they are not there, find them, and then make symbolic links to them in your include dirctory (or simply move them to the include directory).
3) If it still doesn't work and you're sure you did things right, post again and we'll try to help. [grin]
