the main text window on this webpage should be transparent the-grid.sourceforge.net, but on all the browsers ive tried (konqueror, opera, firefox, and internet explorer) it isnt transparent until you refresh the page.
the transparency is actually another filtered (colorized) image underneath the text.

It looks good here on IE, but I remember having similar problems. It appeared to be a problem with my graphics card. You should check if the problem still arises when you open just the image in a browser window. As a solution, you could have a page onload event updating the transparent image.

Looks fine to me with Firefox 1.0.

I did something similar to this once, and had to abandon it because IE would never display it correctly.
[Slime] I saw a headline on the newspaper today: "Horrific Rape in Alley", or something.[Slime] I was like "Is there any other kind of rape?"[Slime] "HILARIOUS RAPE AS CLOWN SODOMIZED"

Tried:

- Firefox 1.0
- Explorer 6.0
- Netscape Navigator 7.01
- Opera 7.23

and didn't encounter any transparancy problem.
