Hello, I have the following problem: I read that opengl uses a right-handed coordinate system. This means that the positive x points right, the positive y up and the negative z axis points forward (in to the screen). But when i move forward and i update my position in the negative z direction, my object moves to the left. I guess it has something to do with the coordinate system of 3d studio max, as i use 3ds models. Someone experience with this kind of problem? Thanx in advance

not all programs use same system for coordinates. for example if you model a model in 3dsmax, it turns upside down in milkshape. this is not a big problem, just rotate it manually.
i suggest you to select main 3d editor(like 3dsmax) and change your drawing (or movement) code based on that. you may change your modeling coordinate too, but this will cause some problems with communications and code design.
hope helps.
