I was wondering, is there a way to send an email that will notify you when read? I mean couldnt I include some script that would do this, possibly over my webspace? Oh lets take hotmail to hotmail messages for starters. By the way: Offcourse one could ad a link but it isnt said that the link will be clicked and its kinda odd. -CProgrammer

Theres a few ways.

#1, an image.
< img src="www.yourpage.com/yourcounterscript?id=Myuniqueidwhichisusuallyanumber" width = 0 height = 0 >

#2, Frames

< frame src = "www.yourpage.com/yourcountersciprt?id=id" width = "0%" >

And maybe scripts, but those are disabled by defult.

Click here to patch the mozilla IDN exploit, or click Here then type in Network.enableidn and set its value to false. Restart the browser for the patches to work.

Spammers have used those techniques for some time I think. Outlook Express blocks loading of images etc now to prevent that method from working.
There's no foolproof way as far as I know.
Maybe implement or use that feature where you can request a return recipt. Don't know much about it sorry.

Hmm thanks choice number one sounds great.
However if I link 'img' to a script is that allowed? Does the script then have to send some image information or is there just no real image?
