What I'm looking for: A group of indie game developers working for free but are dedicated to finishing a project. Preferably a small-meduim size project that will not require more then 3-4 hours a week of my time. About me: Age: 21 I am a 3rd year university student studying computer science. I work as a contract programmer using &#106avascript, PHP and MySQL. I do web graphics for them as well, but I have no idea why they pay me for my crappy graphics. I have been doing indie-projects on and off for 7 years now. Not one has been completed unfortunatly, but was never due to me not being dedicated to a project. I know Visual Basic, Truevision3D, BlitzBasic3D, java and a little C++. I am not fluent in C++ enough yet to want to use it. [caution]Group most either: 1)Have a game design that can work. Please note the difference between game design and game ideas. 2)As the programmer I would naturally take the role as game-designer (if there was not a game designer in the group). Which means I get to decide what is realistic and what isn't. And I would need control of game play elements. 3)You pay me money. 4)You have a game designer (Designer as in he designs game mechanics, knows a little about programming) In other words I want to avoid being in a group where somebody has unrealistic goals because he doesn't know better. I've been in this situation too many times. As for what type of project, I'm pretty much open for anything. Just nothing big for the time being. Some ideas: I started a 2D platform game for Zombie Smash. I would like to use the engine I made for another platform game. This would require a few sprite creators to make lots of animations. Note that the screenshots used are using graphics from their project Zombie Smash. Please see their post if your interested. Note: Graphics above are from this project I also started a rpg in java. See the game HERE. Would need another java coder for this. - A multiplayer bomberman clone for java - Any small multiplayer java game (I can handle the multiplayer part) - A 3d rpg in BlitzBasic3d that has 2d mechanics/game play. Like Ragnarok. This one is not really feasible without a large group. - Give me an idea. I like all types of games and I am willing to do almost anything provided I can see it getting done at some point. My website: This is a good example of some of the things I am capable of. LINK Note: Graphics and design of the webpage were done by Alex Kominek not myself. He also did the graphics/models for the asteroids game. Screenshot of a game I made for a Schlumberger programming contest (placed 7th) Feel free to drop me a line or add me to your msn Email: jburditt@ucalgary.ca MSN: jebediah05@hotmail.com [Edited by - Jebediah on January 11, 2005 3:13:53 AM]

[Edit]

The engine currently supports animations, collision detection and loads levels I build with the editor. It took me 4 days and I'd imagine the rest of the game would be just as easy.

I do have good things to say about Jebb.

Jebb works TOO much. I had to work about twice as hard as I had been before I hired him just to keep up with him.

This is what I'm doing in the mean time I guess. Currently supports rectangle collision detection and object support soon.

If all goes well I can make more then one game with this engine. I will keep it open-source for the time being as well. Source can be found on the site or just email me.

Graphics are still stolen from another project. I will rip graphics from megaman or something next time I update it.
