Hey, I baught this book and was reading the chapter on multiplayer game and setting up a multithreading and winsock to create a server/client game. The book is great and all but it forgets to do one thing at the end of the chapter, and that is to tell you how to use the all the code for that winsock stuff. If anyone else here has read the book and could help me, all I want to know how to do is where do I start to create the new thread and where/how do I call the function to start the server or client? I mean, do I do it in the winmain function like right after my directx initializations? Here is kind of what I want to do for a test, is to just test a simple counsel app (not using any directx or anything, just simple cout<< statements) and using the NetLib from the book create 2 simple little programs, a client and server. Could anyone help me with this, i would be greatly appreciative. Possibility

Ummmmm.....exactly what book are you referring to? It would really help if we knew the name of it, that way we could tell you if we have read it....

Just a thought
