Lefties

Hey, I'm just wondering how many lefties there are on GameDev and there opinions on advantages/disadvantages of being a left handed in the real world? Also, how much do you use your left hand, here my stats: Writing: Left Mouse: Right Scissors: Right Kicking: Right Arm-Wrestling: Right (though I used Left before I started lifting) Basketball Bouncing: Right Basketball Shooting: Left Guitar: Left (though I don't actually play Guitar) Golf: Right Throwing: Left Punching: Left And what I find really strange is that the right side of my body is much more muscular and stronger than the left side of my body. Also, I heard left handers are usually better at Maths than right handers and I'm considered to be one of the best at Maths in my college (Education for 16-18 year olds) and my mental arithmetic is good too. So, if you have something worth saying, please do! Thanks in Advance TomX
I'm ambidexterous, though I don't do everything equally well with both hands. The rundown:
On very rare occasions (though it seems to happen when I'm sleep-deprived) my brain "locks up" momentarily when I want to reach for something. That is, say I want to grab a pencil. Instead of just reaching for it, it'll take a few more milliseconds before my sleep-deprived brain will decide which hand it wants me to use. It hasn't happened for a few years, though, and a neurologist said it was a consequence of puberty and not to worry about it. It also never happens if I'm holding something in one hand or if a hand is otherwise occupied. Weird, huh?

I'm mostly right but I do some things lefty. Mostly things I found to work better that way. I use the mouse left handed. The Keypad kicks the wsad keys ass in a FPS. Plus its easier to do alot of keystrokes with the right hand while mousing with the left.
I use Chopsticks left handed. I can do right just as well. One day I'm going to double hand a couple of pair just to freak someone out.

Uh... I do most things with my right <whatever>.
EDIT: But I have been trying to do more with my left <whatever>, since my right <whatever> is/are noticeably stronger than the left.

I thought this thread was going to be about politics.
I'm right handed, but I eat my food European style, with a knife in the right hand and a fork in the left, which some people think of as left handed.

The only thing I do left-handed is hockey.
Writing: Left
Mouse: Right
Scissors: Left
Kicking: Left
Arm-Wrestling: Left
Golf: Left
Throwing: Left
Punching: Left
Waving: Either
Eating: Left
Tennis: Left
Just about everything I do is left handed. I don't like the scissors part because they almost always make them for right handed people. If the tool is designed for only right-handed people, I will use it as directed. Skillsaw I think is like this. Also shift gears right handed :)

left handed, mostly, with some weird right handed habits, imposed by the oh so cruel world.
- kicks, left foot, but right is OK, but weaker.
- Punching, mostly left. Although when I punch Doog in the face, any will do.
- scissors, both (although mostly right, impossible to find left handed scissors).
- mouse, right (whatever says gooober king, I use wasd, and keyboard shortcuts are much easier that way anyway).
- joysticks. left.
- bass guitar, right (due to my brother buying me the wrong one :)).
- throwing, definitely left. with right, I throw like an anemic girl.
- bike leaning, feels slightly safer left.
- rifle shooting, right.

I used to be fully ambidexterous, then i lost most of it, and used my right hand.
Now for the past few years, i've been trying to get my ambidexterity back.
I've really freaked people out before (using both hands to draw a single picture, and stuff like that.)
I'm basically trying to use my left hand for everything now, to try and get it to be a bit better. Its workning too.

I am left handed... but I hate math... although I am not bad at it...
Writing: Left(with very very bad handwritting)
Mouse: Right
Scissors: Left
Kicking: Right
Arm-Wrestling: Left
Basketball Bouncing: Both
Basketball Shooting: Left
Guitar: Right(just learning and I guess it doesn't feel much different)
Throwing: Left
Punching: Left
I think the most annoying thing about being left handed is not being able to write with a pen... or on a board with either dry erase or chalk... and I am sure all the left handed people know why...

I'm left handed, I write best with my left hand, but I can still write more clearly than some people using my right hand. I used to throw with my left and right hands, but now it's mostly left. In order to do a manual on my bike I have to have my right foot forward, otherwise I can only pull up about 4 inches and it feels really awkward. I kick left and right footed, but prefer left. I punch with both hands. Not very good with a guitar, but when I tried to learn a few years ago I had trouble deciding which hand to use. They both felt the same. Same thing with golf. I play hockey right handed. I snowboard with both stances. I guess I'm almost ambidexterous, but mostly left handed.
