I've got an alienware laptop computer, with xp pro running. For some reason, and it just started happening recently, when I boot the computer, right after the screen where the windows logo appears with the little animated loading bar, a blue screen flashes, and then it reverts to the beginning loading processes. It will keep going through this cycle forever, and I don't understand the problem... can anyone help? thanks in advance

Try booting into Safe Mode, or, if you made any changes, Last Known Good Configuration. Once you're logged in, make sure you have Admin privileges and uncheck the following:
CP->System->Advanced->Startup and Recovery->Automatically restart.

This prevents Windows from resetting on a crash and lets you diagnose the problem.

[edit:] Just in case, pressing F8 on Windows' startup enables you to access these modes.

Did you update Windows or install any major software?
