Sounds like an interesting project, but I am skeptical...Are you going to be able to screw the mobo into the lego pieces? What about the heat? Will the legos take it without warping?

Burning plastic smells pretty bad so If there are any problems, you'll be sure to know :)

No need to screw in the mobo. It can lay on top of some bricks; it doesn't have to be mounted upright.

Good point...It should fit tightly, though, to prevent it from vibrating off of its mount.

Screw that, just nail the sucker to your desk and sling the floppy drive and CD-Rom above the way you do your monitor cable. Take care in nailing the harddrive, but if you salvage enough from your old case, you should be in good order.

Unless you've already got the legos, won't it be more expensive to buy enough legos to make a case than to buy a new one?

I used to have a ton (not litterally) of legos.
I sold them on eBay.
I got about $750 for em.

I'm guessing you were inspired from this site?
That is the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life!

I'd do this myself, but Legos are so expensive. I do have quite a few though. You're never to old for Lego. I hear chicks love them...or not[sad]...

I haven't used my legos in so long. If I did that I would try to make something really weird and creative.

I really think I should do that.

One thing, though: With my computer, the AGP card will wiggle a lot unless I secure it to the case. Do you think I should just use a twist tie and put it through a lego with a hole in it?

I seriously want to do this during my week-long break at the end of January.
