This tile mapper was made for the project I have posted here: http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=293390 Some pics:
I am currently cleaning it up. It was tested in/out, and there are no bugs. I am looking for anyone interested in become the "guardian" (well, ok the program's not a person =P) of the 3D tile mapper. Program info: 1) Programmed in C (Inclusion and NO LINKING NEEDED) 2) Uses GLUT+OPEN_GL The todo list: 1) (Optional) Add scrollbars instead of having the user use A and Z to cycle through tiles. 2) (Optional) Instead of having the user: 1) Convert 8-bit bmps to a special format, 2) Use another program to capture all the textures in the directory, etc. Do this: Allow user to add/remove texture from a listbox instead of using pre-loaded texture lists. 3) (Part of #2) Remove my custom .tex format and add in 8-bit BMPs. Tell me if you are interested in doing this. Reason I did this is because I don't want this to go to waste because my main project is already falling apart due to me being the only programmer. (But currently I am going to need to add in just a few things that was never finished like allowing the user to CHOOSE WHERE save and load instead of loading and saving from the same file) Who knows, this project may someday help a future programmer in need of a 3D tilemapper instead of a 2D one.
