Hello all. I wanna know any tips that anybody may have before I take the cert test. I guess I already kinda took it once through school but I didn't pass. Although my grade wasn't that bad and can be improved upon. Does anybody have any good links/articles ??? Ones that aren't trying to constantly sell me study guides or software?? I would be able to take this test online right? Has the test been updated to cover 1_5? If so I'd have to learn the new stuff on that. Thanks to anybody that can give me a hand and maybe some clear concise help.

Well, I won't avoid your question :-)

To answer the anonymous poster, the certification gives you a feeling of accomplishment, much like the first time your tetris clone runs well.

I would try places, like http://www.javaranch.com
They have practice testing online that you can do and the questions are nice.
When you take the test, relax. The hardest part of the test is the way they
trick you with the choices, such as switching around capitalizations and
package order. Watch for stuff like util.java.*; and javax.JPanel or Javax.swing.*;, missing semicolons, etc.

There are lots of sites similar to javaranch with online test practice and review, just hit up google and good luck.
