Does anybody know any programs that will capture full-screen video? Specifically, I'm trying to capture WoW movies. Free would be nice, too, I guess. Any suggestions?

Wow thats pretty impressive. Is it using its own codec or something?

From what I gather, it basically accesses the D3D (I don't know how it does it in OGL) Device currently in memory (the one in use by the game), and once it has that it can capture from the front buffer, write to the buffer, etc.

Getting the device from memory is a bitch. Knowing which device to get (ie, the active one) is a bitch. So they tackled it, and now we don't have to think about it anymore!

Just be warned - the *.avi files it outputs are completely uncompressed, and can get huge fast. So compress them with something like the DivX codec (which, IIRC has free compression/conversion software)
