I have to make course selection soon upon entering the International Baccalaureate Diploma program, and am wondering one main thing. All the schools that offer IB Computer Science use Java. Is this written anywhere in stone that Java must be used? I have gone to the IB site and its a crap site that says nothing. Basically, I am wondering if it is offered using C++...? Anyknow if IB Computer Science can be in C++? Thanks

Very doubtful. If it is similar to AP, then the formal examination at the end of the course requires you to write code, and I highly doubt they would have graders that know both Java and C++.

Java is the Pascal/COBOL of our generation: a good language for teaching that everyone argues about real-world applications. :)
