Does anyone know what the lever law is (not just that it exists but what it actually states)? I''ve looked for it and I can''t find the thing, and I''m needing it soon so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, it runs over the torque formula:
M = F * l

where F is the force and l is the distance between the exertion point and the hinge.

So, for example, you need to know the force (F2) on the other side of the lever at position l2 and F1 is excerted at l1.

F1 * l1 = F2 * l2

So:

F2 = (F1 * l1)/l2

Tadaa
