problem with shell

in a program of mine im usig chell to run an exe. The exe is the main part of my game. But the thing is when i use shell the UI doesnt show up. Its in the processes but i dont see ne thing. And when i just click on it to run it, it runs fine. Any way i can get it to run normally in vb? any help would be great thx Jake

jake, it would help if you could provide source code surrounding your call to the shell, otherwise, we can only really help you from a theoritical point of view...

Shell App.Path & "\Data\" & MapName & ".exe", vbNormalFocus

thats the shell command

And what is the exact path and name of the application you are trying to run?

well the app runs but it is not shown. When i look at the processes runnin in the windows task manager, it says it is running. The name may vary depending on wat map. Lets say its plains.exe then teh path on my comp is D:\ProjectFiles\Data\Plains.exe
