Particle explosion

Hello, i have been looking for a sample of particle explosion in VB on the net for a while, but I only found source code in C and Java. I tried to convert the examples I found, but it didn't worked that well (can't seem to set the colors right). So, does anyone here has ever made such a particle explosion in VB themself or anyone knows where I can get one? Thanks EDIT: Maybe I should also have said that it is for a 2D particle explosion. On FlipCode''s code-of-the-day thingys, there''s one that is about making a 3d sphere. It''s actually a bunch of hard-coded values from 0-1 to make a sphere. You could use these values as directions to move the particles away from whatever exploded.
