Um, how would I go about writing a quick application that takes smaller image files and sews them together to create a large file? Im trying to translate a whole lot of little graphics files into larger ones to save time in my load; right now, its sort slow. Anyway, I was thinking about using directdraw to do this for me. I have 3 main problems as of now: 1) Creating a surface of the proper size for em all 2) Drawing them into the surface (blit? i forgot the function...) 3) Saving them into a file Any help is appreciated

1) Just create a surface that can hold them all.
If you got 3 bitmaps: 50x100,60x200,30x100
Creating a surface of: 140x200, will be great
Unless you want them aligned vertically, then it would be: 60x400

2) You draw all of them to your one big surface with Blt() (Look it up in the SDK)

3) There''s a tutorial at Mr-GameMaker about saving a surface to a bitmap.
