Hey guys, im just starting to get involved in game programming. I have taken some classes on C++ and I am reading one of the suggested books on the subject. Im relatively familiar with the subject, I was just wondering if anyone could reccomend a book that teaches some of the parts of a game from a programmers perspective. Any online tutorials would also be greatly appreciated (I think I have exhaust this resource however :D) Mike

As beign said many times befor - the best learning is practicing.
Just start code simple games, even text based ones like tic tac toe etc.
Belive me - game programming is a skill you cannot acquire by reading a book.

"Tricks of the Window Game Programming Gurus" by Andre LaMothe should get you started.

note that the cover has the letters "3D" on the cover which is entirely untrue. supposedly a second volume is in the works that will actually cover 3D.
The trade-off between price and quality does not exist in Japan. Rather, the idea that high quality brings on cost reduction is widely accepted.-- Tajima & Matsubara
