I'm pissed off at that movie, and might not see it on principle.

I went to see Boogeyman [excellent film, by the way], and had to watch it in an auditorium filled with twelve year old girls. Ordinarly, this would be amazingly hot, but I was there to be horrified. Their giggling and shit pissed me off.

I'm quite certain they were all there because they were checking IDs for Constantine, and none of them could get in.

Ergo, I refuse to see Constantine.

local newspaper gave it 3 1/2 out of 4 stars. i was surprised. i'm expecting it to suck royally.

I figure it looks good enuff to watch drunk if its got enuff action in it [grin]

Ebert gives it 1.5/4.
But thats still not as bad as the texas chainsaw massacre remake (the only review I'v ever seen with 0/4).

Is this movie based on the Hellblazer comics?

Hmm, I'm intressted you feel that way seeing it has gotten quite good reviews. I'm gonna go watch it next week. IGN Movies that I usually agree with gave it 4.5/5 stars saying An achievement of both story and technique, Constantine is one of the finest comic-based films ever made.

I'm seeing it in...44 minutes.

I didn't realize Constantine had a comic background. I fail to see how it could be one of the greatest comic based movies ever, what with X-Men, Spiderman, Batman, and Superman all in the running. The author was probably just jaded after Catwoman and Elektra.

Now that I think about it, I may see it tonight after all. If all the annoying tweens are forced to watch Boogeyman, they won't be bugging me in Constantine. And since I'm hearing pretty good things about the movie, it shouldn't be a complete waste of my time.
