normal CPU temperature?

The maximum temperature you'd want for a P4 is around 70-75C. Average temperature is around 45-55C.

Keeping it cool helps it run faster, if it heats up too much then it will slow the CPU down so it doesn't fry.

ok, yea my temperature don't not usually go above 55C, what is a good aftermarket Heatsnik/fan for the P4?

I can't help you there. I've always bought the box version of processors, which come with the stock heatsinc and fan. Unless you plan to overclock though, you don't need anything fancy. Just buy whatever generic P4 heatsinc/fan you can find.

My CPU is always at 39 degrees, but it is only so hot because it is always running at 100%

my CPU runs around 29 C and I have it overclocked from 3 to 3.6ghz. And it's air cooling too
