I need a laptop for school(only 2 years left transferring from a cc) and want to get the best available for a desktop replacement since my pc is pretty old. I really really want a dell 9200 or 9300, but they are really big and would be heavy to tote around. My question is do you think I should just be mobile and get a smaller laptop or get the one I want and get some big shoulder pads(lol)?

I have an Inspiron 5150, and IMHO ~3.5 kg isn't too much to carry in a regular school backpack... that's enough mobility for me...

Depends on how much you are walking around with it, how big/strong you are...

Im 190cm/85kg and it's certainly more comfortable for me to walk around without my 2.2 kg notebook in my backpack. But i don't mind carrying it around if i might need it. If it was like 3.5 kg i would for sure think twice before putting it in my backpack.
