Hi, I posted a thread today and edited it a few times. I noticed the gamedev automatically adds, "[Edited by - gcs584 on February 24...]". In the thread I posted today, the edited time was 5 hours earlier than my inital post time. I am using the GMT time in my profile, but I'm not quite sure what the problem is. It seems as if the edited time is reflecting the eastern time zone instead of GMT time. Here's my thread. I've got a pic of it here as well. Maybe I'm overlooking something? Hopefully, it's not a repost. Thanks, GCS584

Yes, this is a repost. There are dozens of identical posts to this in this forum. To explain again, the reason is that edit times are text additions to the post itself - that means they are fixed. The other times you see on the forums are dynamically changed to match your timezone.

Michalson: Perhaps we should insert the timezone into the edited by string to (hopefully) prevent confusion.

Hi,

Sorry for the repost and thanks for the clarification.

I do like Myopic Rhino's idea!
