Hi guys, this is my first post on gamedev.net. Despite the topic of this forum, I have around a year of experience (as an amateur programmer) with OpenGL, while I totally ignore how DirectX works. Are you still here? Maybe I could have said before that I liked to learn DX, but I started with OpenGL, for portability issues. My problem is that I've designed a rendering interface with in mind its OpenGL implementation, and now, I'm worried if it could also be implemented with DX. I would like you to take a look to the prototype, and give me advices about something which could give problems in an attempt to implement it in DX . You are free to make also comments about missing, unuseful, or obsolete features. Comments about my english are accepted, but not encouraged ;-). Here you can find the prototype: http://utenti.quipo.it/cyberquiet/private/renderer_interface.h

I don't see any openGL specific stuff, and has a nice layer of abstraction (from what I can tell), so it seems like a good candidate for a port to me.

OT:
It will be beautiful to have game programming courses in my country, actually I'm trying to become "still another informatic scientist"...
