wrinkles/clothing tutorials
Hi, can you tell me please some tutes for making wrinkles on clothes? Thanks.
Since nobody's replied yet, might I suggest examining your own clothes to get a basic idea of how the wrinkles flow? Put on some baggy pants and sweatshirt and look at yourself in a big mirror. Try to gain an understanding of the reason behind the wrinkle. This way you'll be working from reality which is guaranteed to be a more realistic model than some tutorial. To actually create the wrinkles, assuming you're working with low poly modelling, just make strategic cuts through the model along the points of greatest curvature, while trying to maintain your edge loops. Then just move the new polys around. Of course, a good tutorial couldn't hurt if anyone can suggest one.
Hi. The wrinkles/folds are for a leather jacket; I wasn't able to find any full canvases, or at least some decent pic from several views, for a complete jacket. But in general, how to simulate folds/wrinkles in Photoshop?

If you're talking about 3D wrinkles on clothing, I'd suggest looking on 3DBuzz.com or on Google for reactor tutorials (if you're working in Max.)
2D Clothes, I'd say wear a leather jacket and look in a mirror.
BTW, has anyone seen the new Cloth Extensions for Max 7.5? *Drool*

Use darken and lighten (burn, dodge) right next to each other. It gives the illusion of the cloth raising up. Experiment with different widths for each for different effects.
For a wrinkly in the cloth, then try making the darken tool pretty small, and try and make something that goes from dark to light away from the wronkle. Make the lighten larger.

Sure is a big 'ol world.
