Hi, I''m just wondering what is the legal implication of using an Open Source 3D engine like Crystal space to develop a commercial game? Do I have the legal right to sell the game for a profit? I was trying to read the GNU lisence came with Crystal space and unfortunately can''t really make any sense out of it. Many thanks in advance! Kinny Wong

STVOY, it's free as in speech, not free as in beer. With free software (GNU style) you can sell your software for $100000000 if you want to, you just can't obstruct people from installing it on a million computers, changing the code and then selling their version of the program for $100000000.

I'm reminded of the day my daughter came in, looked over my shoulder at some Perl 4 code, and said, "What is that, swearing?" - Larry Wall
