I need to write a program in pascal and compile it with gpc on unix. I have compiled my program with gpc --standard-pascal ex1.pas -o ex1.aout I got the following error: ex1.pas:15:Wrong order of declerations according to ISO 7158 Pascal in function 'A' : My code at line 15 is: function a (b:integer): integer; What may cause it? If you are not familier with it, where can I find compiling error description of this language?

There is nothing wrong with that line of code, by itself.
I have never used any pascal compiler on *nix, but I'd check for a missing semicolon on the line above etc.
Also, it might be telling you that you have to declare your functions before variables and not the other way around or something, like Delphi?
