It looks like the slides link is broken :-(

Darn! I really wanted to see this too. Can't wait for that guy to post his slides.

Will definitely be an interesting read as I'm starting to take a very much data-driven approach to my programming.

I just want to point out that the slides are now uploaded! [smile]

I'm confused. It seemed interesting (seeing I know little about the subject). But the whole thing seemed like an explanation to use Lisp and/or Lua in conjunction with C++ (or even C). What that was the presentation was about? Using scripts to read in data to determine what functions (C++) to execute? That's what I got out of it.

Is there a recording of his presentation? That would help patch the gaps for me.

Otherwise, please feel free to educate me on what my ignorance missed and/or misunderstood.

I agree, the slides were mostly about how to use scripting in your program.
And, what the benifits of scripting are...

I really think data-driven means more than just scripting, and though the
slides were nice to look at, not sure they fit well with the label.

has anyone looked at his slides?
or even seen the lecture.
i would like to have/see more discussion on this particular topic (by obviously people more in tune and experienced with it than I).

I just came across these slides and wonder if he is actually considering "scripting" to be a form of data-driven technique.
