Game Dev Club?

hehe, yeah. i started one and the whole group was myself only. it''s around a year that i''m working on this (not consecutively though)
and i''ve changed the game''s idea for like a million times so far...

...

I thought that''s what this place is. You have the "Game Design" forum to bat around game-play ideas. "Game Writing" to work out storylines. "General and Game Programming" for assistance with programming. etc.

I have found this place to be an invaluable resource of information and ideas.

Hmm... I was thinking more along the lines of a single - project type thing, but i havent spent much time lurking around the other boards. Maybe people there have already formed groups that i can join. Thanx

Hey, post this idea in the Suggestions forum. They''re restructuring the site - maybe they can add a section were people can register themselves as group leaders and start a project with other people from GameDev. It could be like a virtual community development thing - teams could help each other out and use this site as a means of getting together to discuss stuff. The section could have links to tools and stuff to get people started and.... damn - this IS a good idea I think I''ll go post it myself (kudos to you, of course, Mighty Monkey).

I believe that you''ll find it to be unlike anything you''ve experienced before on the net -- a chance for everyone to participate in the process of analysing, designing, implementing and optimizing games while at the same time learning a thing or two.

Although we won''t be trying anything bold for the first while, it may be worth your time to check it out. Look for it here starting (approximately) on Monday, Nov. 13th.
