I was wondering about the different memory loads that different methods use for graphics in visual basic .net. If I were storing a background image as a pre-made image instead of tiles, would it take the same amount of memory since the same number of tile instances would have to be loaded anyway, or would tiles save memory because drawing multiple tiles will be the same, but storing them in memory will be smaller? Also would the simplicity of calling one draw function for a pre-compiled background as compared to say, 30-64 draw calls to draw the background using tiles make the memory load less?
