I'm writing an exporter in Maxscript and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to transform the vertices correctly without forcing artists to use ResetXForm all the time. I currently do this: tmesh = snapshotAsMesh obj numverts = tmesh.numverts for v = 1 to numverts do ( vert = getVert tmesh v vert *= inverse obj.transform format "[%,%,%];" vert.x vert.y vert.z to:dumpverts ) I multiply by the inverse object transform to get the verts into local space (snapshotAsMesh seems to put them in world space), but I'm guessing this doesn't account for the Object-Offset Transform, which is why some objects require ResetXForm to export properly...? Using ResetXForm isn't really an option because we're exporting existing models that were built for an exporter that didn't need that step (so I know it can be done!). Besides, forcing artists to use ResetXForm is just bad form. Any help would be much appreciated, Alex
