I was bored and made a font...

Hey, I made the graphics for a font, but how do you turn it into something you can type in?
I want to help design a "sandpark" MMO. Optional interactive story with quests and deeply characterized NPCs, plus sandbox elements like player-craftable housing and lots of other crafting. If you are starting a design of this type, please PM me. I also love pet-breeding games.

Ummmm... Take your mouse, draw the letters in your favorite gfx program and use something like Font Creator (of which I only possess the trial), export your files there, generate the single letters and save it... It's much easier than I thought.
Theres a dotted line which changes the width of a Character. I think I'll make my Bitmapfonts like that from now on. I only drew them by hand until now...

It looks very complicated but I guess you can use the program I posted... In the program you can fine-tune the grey scale to threshold so that it will also find the grey parts of your font and then click on generate and it'll generate some kind of vectorized (is that the correct term?) thing for it. Just copy the single characters out of your image and load them into the program.
I'm not sure how much detail the program can take...
(did the icons of this forum for the posts change? either they look different or it is the alcohol... I refused the mushrooms 1 hour ago so that can't be it :/)

maybe it would become better if there was more contrast in the original pic... I don't know, I guess you'll have to mess around with it a bit to find out...

If someone finds out how to increase the lower part of the font then tell me please... My g and y and j look really crippled. Normally they are more curved and go deeper... :|
