If you've ever programmed in BYOND, then the transition to C++ wouldn't be hard, but generally, C++ isn't for beginners. Try Python.

please elaborate; what do you want to make,
maybe you need to take a look at darkbasic or something.

For a beginner I would recommend C# , it is a little bit easier than C++ and is a fun language to learn [smile].

That is going to be imposssible on the first attempt.
Or the third.
Or basically anything witin the first few years of coding. (few == maybe 5-10)

Consider that bigger projects (like bdl2), have teams of heaps of coders (100's maybe?) working for years to bring out a single game.

Your probably not going to be able to do it.
