Hello, Can someone point me to a description of the file format used by OpenGL for Volume Textures? I understand that OpenGL volume texture data is stored as 'sub-cubes' and I need to understand this better. Specifically, I am trying to work with a B8G8R8A8 volume texture. Thanks Todd [Edited by - tscott1213 on April 3, 2005 9:10:24 PM]

Zedzeek is right...
A volume texture is nothing more than a stack of 2D Textures (a.k.a. a 3D texture).

There is no special format for volume textures.
Nor does OpenGL have any facilities to help you utilize them.
