I would like to know in which case shared memory threading is used in game developpement and why is there such necessity ? In addition, could you explain me where in a 3D game engine do you use threading ? I think all operations can be done in the rendering loop (or all the three loop, something like that ...). Am i wrong ?

Usually there is no reason to use threading at all! Except you don't have
any other possiblity to do other then that. (i.e: When using Java)
Threads are useful for a lot of things but not in this
case. Long during tasks are instead put in a queue and to be spread out over
several game cycles.
