Not really sure if this is the place to be for this but here goes. If i had a scene in max/maya with say 4 cameras...would it be possible via command line arguments be possible to load up max/maya with the camera i want and have it render the scene from that camera? Or would i have to use an external program to modify a script to select the camera i want and then command line max/maya with my scene and script and render it that way? Would be great if any one could help me out on this. Cheers. Jimmy.

With Maya you can render directly from command line with:

render -cam CAMERA_NAME MAYA_FILENAME

See the output of "render -h" for more options.

Excellent...just what i was looking for...is it possible to change field of view with render...or would you just create a different camera for that?

Also is it possible to turn objects on/off with the command line so they don;t get rendered into the scene?

Cheers.
Jimmy.
