I just downloaded the DirectX 9 SDK from MS, 200+ megs to compile a sourceforge project, and the docs at MS say that the Direct3D.TextureLoader class exists, but the compiler says it doesn't, and code-complete agrees. All the other classes seem to be there. Did they just take this class out for some reason? Is there another you're supposed to use to load Texture objects? Here's a code snippet where I'm getting my compile error. Of course everything is referenced, the class 'TextureLoader' simply doesn't exist! WTF?! Anybody? Is this new to DX9? (It's C# BTW) Also, here's the link to the breakdown on the TextureLoader class that doesn't seem to exist; http://msdn.microsoft.com/archive/default.asp?url=/archive/en-us/directx9_m_dec_2004/directx/ref/ns/microsoft.directx.direct3d/c/textureloader/textureloader.asp **************************************************************************** protected void InitialiseTextures(string sPartialFilename) { pSkyTextures[0] = Direct3D.TextureLoader.FromFile(this.D3DDevice, sPartialFilename + "_bk.jpg"); pSkyTextures[1] = Direct3D.TextureLoader.FromFile(this.D3DDevice, sPartialFilename + "_ft.jpg"); pSkyTextures[2] = Direct3D.TextureLoader.FromFile(this.D3DDevice, sPartialFilename + "_rt.jpg"); pSkyTextures[3] = Direct3D.TextureLoader.FromFile(this.D3DDevice, sPartialFilename + "_lf.jpg"); pSkyTextures[4] = Direct3D.TextureLoader.FromFile(this.D3DDevice, sPartialFilename + "_up.jpg"); pSkyTextures[5] = Direct3D.TextureLoader.FromFile(this.D3DDevice, sPartialFilename + "_dn.jpg"); }
