Using 3DExplorer

Original Post
Can anybody explain to me the format of the files 3DExlporer generates. Shouldn''t it be somthing like:
glBegin(GL_triangles);
glVertex3f(x,y,z);
the file that is generated by 3DExplorer appears to use some array. I have heard somthing about display lists. I am importing a 3D studio max 3 file and exporting it to opengl cpp. please help as I am only a newbie to the OpenGL world.
Cheers
Steve
OK, I made a sample app and then tried to compile it using a default workspace in MSVC++6: 22 errors. Then I added links to opengl32.lib and glu32.lib and reduced the number of compilation errors to 2. here is my latest error message:
Should i link in more libraries? if so, which one(s)?
Thanks

do you have your project set to a "win32 application" and not "win32 console" because i had the same errors and took me forever to figure it out
WOOOHOOOO!! Darkopengl, you''re the man! Apparently the "default workspace" MSVC++6 makes when you compile a lone cpp file is a Win32 console app, and as you said, you need a Win32 app in this case.
So, for all yer newbes out there like me, here is the project space you need to run a 3dexplorer opengl app, as well as the cherries.exe executable, just for laughs:
(OK, I know, choosing 3dexplorers'' cherries may not have been the right example to display on a public site: strange pulsating pair of balls there...)
