Nearly a year ago I purchased Borland c++ builder 4 for 120$ and I spent about a month learning basic c++ skills... Now I want to start the learning process again from where I left off.. anyways my question is was it stupid to buy Borland instead of Microsoft? It seems that nearly no one uses Borland....
Its all fun and games till someone gets pregnant.

No it wasn''t stupid to buy Borland. Seeing as Borland will compile most MSVC projects, there''s no disadvantage in having it. And with C++ Builder, it''s serious zero pain GUI development environment which makes it great for programming tools. I personally use the Borland compilers whenever I can.

Borland is great... Unfortunately though, if you have a low version of Builder (<3 I think) then you can''t compile DX apps, and I always had trouble with OGL apps too . But I don''t think that 4 has those problems
