DirectX Java interface?

Not sure if I should ask here or in the Java section, but since this is DX related I thought I''d start here. Does anyone know if anyone has/is working on DirectX bindings for Java? I know there''s GL4Java but I''d really (REALLY) like to be able to run DX8 from Java, and the last thing I''ve seen out of Microsoft is ancient... And don''t bother telling me I''m crazy, I know that and I''m happy with it...

Ask in the Java forum. You can also search the forum for thoughts on the subject. I think someone is working on windows bindings for java. Although you are crazy to use them. I love Java but in this case I would use C/C++.
