Spyware in Novodex?

I just thought I should let anyone who is thinking about trying novodex know that the sdk apparently comes with a few friends. I just went to install the sdk today and got a warning when I ran it that it contains... PeopleOnPage.AproposMedia Which when I googled it turned out to be spyware. What is this world coming to that now software development kits are laced with spyware!!! Anyway, to anyone else who is thinking of using this library, be forewarned. I was debating between this and trying ode. Well, they made the choice easy for me now:)

Not sure how to help you find any more, I only found out it had spyware attached because the computer I was going to install it on uses PestPatrol. PestPatrol popped up a warning when I ran the novodex sdk installer and identified the spyware. So, I looked it up and decided to let others know.

I'll be posting on novodex's forums when I can and ask there what the deal is.

which AV or spyware detector you are using? Is it one of those free-trial versions? A lot of them con you into believing there is spyware installed when in fact there is nothing, just so you buy their product. Despicable, but I had a few of them having a go at me like that.

Not sure on the version, it's the companies pc so its a licensed version.

Spyware aside, Novodex is *much* cooler than ode IMHO - so you might be mad at them, but if you're now using ode you're probably missing out on a cool thing... I would double-check the spyware warning if I were you.
