Hey, i''ve never writen ai for an rpg before, so i was wondering if i could get some suggestions as to how i might be able to go about this. I''m unsure of what priorities for npc''s should be, such as defense vs. attack, or healing vs. other stuff. It would be helpfull to know how i could make my ai prioritize stuff without cheating by looking at the enemy''s life and attacks, etc. Thanks

Ignore the AP''s, talk to dwarfsoft. Check out the Game Design/Writing forums. You''re bound to find something useful. Just try to think what would be best for the NPC to do based on what the NPC knows.
