I''ve been wanting to learn some DirectMusic stuff ever since DX7 I started working with DX7. I don''t really want to learn DX8, because I''ve got enough to learn already. But a lot of books claiming to teach DirectMusic just show you how to play a midi? Does anyone out there know anything about where one would find information about how to use DirectMusic? Maybe some obsolete technical articals by Microsoft? What would you do? ----------------------------- C++ is great, but when is B- coming out?

I found that "Teach Yourself DirectX 7 in 24 hours" by Sams press covered DirectMusic quite nicely. Not just playing midis, but loading templates and all the other things and using them in a game.
