i find it funny that about once a day someone comes on here looking for others to make an RPG.. it seems logical to me, that if you all joined together, instead of trying to make a new game with a micron''s difference between yours and everyone else''s, you''ld have QUITE a team.. www.digitaleuphorasoft.com

No, see they all want to put there idea in a game. They don''t know how to actually program, or do anything but tell others what to do. So no, the team wouldn''t be great .

well.. that was how i felt too

but then again.. i''m no game programmer either..

i''m a database programmer.. but i got hooked up with a GREAT programmer, if i could only find one more like joey... our project would fly like the wind.. it''s moving along nicely though... i just wish it could move faster..

Uh, I hope this wasn''t posted due to our request. We (Advanced Game) have been posting about Remember Me for some time now.

Not only that, but I have an active knowledge of game programming with C/C++ (better with C, though).

Also to be noted, our game does not follow the same structure as most of the current indie RPGs are following. They seem to have the idea that they have to copy Final Fantasy to a T. From the characters, to the story, to the magic system, to the battle system.

Although they are trying, I''ll give them that.

But when they day is over, and the posting is done. It all comes down to the fact that this is a forum for people to look for, and look to help others. Posting messages that insult, or degrade the posting of others is simply not the object of this forum. You know it means something when the first word in it''s title is "Help".

Hello again good peoples,
I feel that I should comment on this because of my recent posting looking for some help on designing an RPG. First of all, I am a decent programmer and am looking to do most of the programming myself. All I''m really looking for is a 3D artist and maybe a secondary programmer. It also helps to have more than just my ideas going into it. I''m not just some kiddie that got a ''puter for Christmas that learned a little BASIC and now wants to rewrite Final Fantasy. In fact, if all goes well, I''m hoping to be able to design something completely new. I''ll be straying from the common races and classes that AD&D made standard, and will be designing everything from scratch. Right now I''m working on a world map and a political system.
Let me also make it clear that I do know that this will be a long term project. Two years at the least. I''m also going to put it out as open source, but it''s going to be programmed for Window$ first and later ported.
Thank you for your time.....
