Where I can get information about dynamic BSP trees? Help please... In all BSP FAQ''s you can read: Advanced methods: Tree merging, "ghosts", real dynamic trees... MORE TO COME ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ <- ??? Where I can read about these trees?

I''m not sure about tree merging or ''ghosts'', but I do know one way to dynamically alter the geometry in a bsp during run-time..

As you walk the tree, you have to do a front/back test at every node..you recurse on the opposite side, render the node, then recurse to the side you''re on..

When you render the node, you can draw virtually ANYTHING that lies along the plane..when you did the front/back test you created an infinite split across the universe..you literally have an infinite amount of free space in which to create/destroy new geometry
Each iteration of the bsp walk provides a new infinite plane..
Of course, you can also alter existing geometry, provided you keep it along the node plane..

I heard that Quake did the sliding doors this way, but I could be wrong..

BTW I''m definitely watching this thread..

tree merging sounds pretty cool
