How do you have an alpha version without a programmer?

ya we use torque game engine so it is possible. and yes thank you for that reply, i just said the website is down..... read before u post

heh ok if u say we are just fake, fine. But i have said we have an alpha done and running, and a team going, and a story, and a bit of a design doc already done so say whatever u wanna say but we aren't fake. We are advancing little by little.
You might be thinking, "ya right, u don't even have a website running". Well the website was working and we have a small issue right now, like most people have. Nothing is perfect you know, you are always gonna have problems, but guess what? You can overcome them and keep on going like what we are going to do. So before you start posting stuff like that, think about what your gonna post.
And yes i will admit those are a bit farfetched to say. But just because we put that up, nobody would like to join, and all you can do is criticize, nothing about joining or at least saying something nice, always posting stuff not helpful.

Those are some highly ambitious claims. More skills and spells than dungeons and dragons? I don't know if you even understand what you are saying there. Okay, so are you the programmer, or what? Because if you have an Alpha out, then don't you already have a coder? Can you put up a screenshot somewhere of your Alpha version? Thanks.

ok, i didn't write that up first off, so im sorry about that. My team leader put it on website so i took it from there. Ill take it off and tell him to delete it.

Now meagermanx, we have an alpha because we use Torque Game Engine. If you still don't believe me go to www.garagegames.com and check the specs for this engine.

I think what meagermanx is getting at is the fact that even with Torque someone had to do the necessary work to make that engine into the alpha version. - Alpha means a version of the game with at least one example of each game feature implemented and that means someone had to implement them.

I never knew there was a definition for an alpha stage for a game. Although I think you should be at least able to walk around to call your game being in alpha.

justdan just so that you know our website is down as u may have read, and our alpha program is on it and i didn't know how to post it on here. And yes you are able to walk around and stuff. There are even buildings and a few other things that you can go around in.

But I'm not as nice as SiCrane and went through and deleted anything that was inappropriate.

Sorry to be a hard case, but none of us has time to figure out who started what, and then sit you all in corners until you can behave.

My new rule of thiumb is, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."

I'll be helping anyone who is having trouble sticking to that rule.
